APIDA FSA Scholarship
APIDA FSA Scholarship
Each Spring, APIDA FSA proudly offers scholarships to Cal Poly students who have demonstrated financial need and who have made contributions to Asian American/Pacific Islander communities.
History. For the first scholarship, faculty and staff raised the funds by passing around a hat at our quarterly events. While APIDA FSA was founded upon a mission to develop leadership and professional development of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in education, we also wanted to support our students and recognize contributions they have made to our communities. We made the first awards in Spring 2013.
For students. Scholarship award decisions are made in the Spring and disbursed to students in the Fall. Applications for the scholarship are made available after the start of Spring quarter.
All students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 at the start of Spring quarter in the application year are eligible to apply. To receive the scholarship, students must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate in the Fall quarter after the scholarship decision is made. Preference is given to students with demonstrated financial need and/or who have made significant contributions to Asian American/Pacific Islander communities.
Please contact APIDA FSA if you are interested in applying or if you have any questions about the scholarship.
For supporters. APIDA FSA is now undertaking more fundraising opportunities to grow the scholarship award. We would appreciate your support, in any form it takes. Please consider making a contribution to help support Cal Poly students.
